The Québec International Book Fair (SILQ) 2026 is proud to present the “live reading” show Zaï Zaï Zaï Zaï, based on Fabcaro’s comic book, for a single performance in Québec City.

What begins with the simple forgetfulness of a loyalty card at the grocery store quickly spirals into a hilarious and absurd manhunt. At the helm of the show, the two members of the cult duo “Nicolas et Bruno” perform all the characters from Fabcaro’s popular graphic novel themselves. The pair plays with voices, sound effects, songs, and an original soundtrack performed by musician Mathias Fédou.

A screenwriter of the latest volume of the Asterix adventures, Fabcaro is a cult figure in contemporary comics. He has won over a vast audience with his unique sense of absurdity and his great talent for highlighting our flaws with disarming elegance. Attending a performance inspired by his universe means diving into a whirlwind of irony that leads us to laugh at ourselves, reflect, and—above all—enjoy an unforgettable moment.
