Crowned Revelation of the Year at the 2022 ADISQ Gala and nominated for Francophone Album of the Year at the 2023 JUNO Awards, Ariane Roy is part of a new wave of artists redefining Québécois pop music. Following the dazzling concert series Le Roy, La Rose et le Lou[p], which lit up stages across the province over the past two years, and her first tour medium plaisir, she now returns to the stage with her solo project, presenting her second album Dogue, co-produced with Félix Petit. With her trademark intensity, Ariane now reveals a darker side: sharper lyrics, a more biting voice, and a sound bathed in a bold, contemporary light. Dogue bares its teeth, yes, maybe in a smile, but at whose expense? We don’t mind. It’s impossible to resist lying down before the fangs, hoping to join the pack.
BéLi – Opening act
BéLi arrives with a lively, tugging, bodily, heady pop that's the fruit of a need to create by exploring. Resolutely eclectic, she channels her anger and less glamorous sides by confronting prudishness and aiming to shake up the status quo of femininity. On stage, BéLi and her band display a no-holds-barred attitude, highlighting the deployment of an alternative pop that is as singular and exhilarating as it is destabilizing. Her debut album, XUV, co-produced with Blaise Borboën-Léonard (Lydia Képinski, Mort Rose, Nicolet...) and Nader Abouzeid (aka Funkywhat - best known for his work with Magi Merlin), will be out on September 27, 2024 on Duprince Records.
